Flooring, tile & painting

Finish materials perform best when the surfaces beneath them are ready. We address preparation, layout, transitions, edges and the final cleanup—not only the visible installation.

Typical scope

What this can include

The final scope is based on existing conditions, access, selections and the work confirmed in your estimate. We separate known work from optional items so the project starts with a clear baseline.

  • Surface preparation
  • Tile layout and installation
  • Flooring installation
  • Transitions and baseboards
  • Painting
  • Touch-ups and cleanup
How we plan it

Sequence before speed.

We begin with the space as it exists, confirm the requested result and identify the work that must happen behind the visible finish. Demolition, framing, rough-ins, substrate preparation and installation are organized in the order the project requires.

Throughout construction, progress questions and changes stay tied to the written scope. The final stage is a documented walkthrough for remaining touch-ups and closeout items.

Working sequence

How the scope moves forward.

  1. 01Inspect the substrate and adjoining finishes
  2. 02Confirm layout, pattern and transition points
  3. 03Prepare surfaces for the selected material
  4. 04Install in a controlled sequence
  5. 05Complete edges, touch-ups and cleanup
Pricing clarity

What can affect the investment.

Finish work should not hide an unsuitable surface. Preparation, moisture requirements, layout and transitions are resolved before the final material is installed.

  • Subfloor or wall preparation
  • Material size and layout pattern
  • Removal and disposal
  • Transitions, stairs and detailed edges
  • Paint condition, colour changes and coverage
Common questions

Plan the next conversation.

Insured and WSIB covered for accountable project delivery.
01Can new flooring go over the existing floor?

Sometimes, depending on the material, height, flatness, movement and manufacturer requirements. The existing assembly needs to be inspected first.

02Does painting include repairs?

Only the preparation specifically listed in the written scope. Repairs, priming and the number of finish coats should be identified clearly.
